China Passenger Car Association: Commercial Vehicle Sales In August Were 240,000 Units, Down 17% YoY

On September 19, Cui Dongshu of the China Passenger Car Association issued a document saying that domestic sales of commercial vehicles from January to August this year reached 1.88 million units due to a low base, a year-on-year increase of 3%, of which commercial vehicle sales in August were 240,000 units, down 17% YoY. From January to August this year, new energy commercial vehicle sales accounted for 8.4% of total commercial vehicle sales, achieving acceptable growth compared to last year. New energy sales accounted for 12.9% of the total in August, an increase of 4 percentage points compared to last year’s 8.9%, indicating a relatively strong performance.
